What Was Built Here
Lannon sits about 18 miles from our West Bend shop, and its housing stock stands apart from most of the towns we cover. Across the wider service area the median home was built around 1976, with a lot of that stock going back to 1958. Lannon runs newer - its homes cluster around a 1995 median build year, closer to the tail end of our coverage window than the middle. That's roughly two decades younger than the typical house we work on elsewhere in the area, and it changes what we find behind the door when we open the panel to look at the springs.
With about 707 households in Lannon, this isn't a huge pocket, but it's a distinct one. A house built in the mid-90s came with a garage door system designed for that era's building practices - different track profiles, different spring wind counts, and openers with circuit boards instead of the older mechanical relay units you still find in 1960s-70s stock elsewhere in the region. We don't treat Lannon calls the same way we'd treat a call from a neighborhood full of original 1965 builds, because the doors aren't the same doors.
